Sara Kogut is a Dallas, Texas native who moved to Austin, after studying in Israel and traveling abroad to over 10 different countries, to attend St. Edwards University, where she graduated Cum Laude with degrees in both entrepreneurship and marketing. Sara began her post-grad career as a University of Texas certified paralegal specializing in intellectual property at Conley Rose law firm. This experience and her innate attention to detail are how she became skilled at preparing and reading through incredibly complex legal documents – suffice to say, she is well prepared to master the nuances of real estate contracts.
Sara loves working with people to uncover exactly what their real estate needs are and helping them find it. She holds a Real Estate Negotiation Expert certification and truly understands how to position and drive a deal to a successful outcome for her clients. Her contagious enthusiasm, strong legal background, expertise of the Austin market, and unparalleled negotiation skills make Sara a valuable and trustworthy asset to anyone during their next real estate adventure!
During her free time, Sara enjoys visiting her family in Austin. It turns out, the Kogut family has been laying roots in Austin for the past 100 years! You can also find her traveling the world, sewing together DIY projects, working out, cruising around on her bicycle, listening to live music, eating her way through as many new restaurants as possible, or at Zilker park with her cute puppy Zeppelin.
“I was skeptical about the value a real estate agent would add to the home buying experience in Austin in today’s Information Age. And as such was not inclined to engage a broker exclusively. My wife and I met Sara as visitors to an open house and were left impressed with her knowledge of the various neighborhoods and the insightful questions she asked even as it became clear the home she represented at the time was not right for us.
After several weeks of wasted time scouring real estate websites and trying to understand Austin public school zoning regulations, we decided to reconnect with Sara and challenged her to impress us. Before ever visiting a property, she did so immediately in how she knew the right questions to ask to narrow down our search and save us time. After just a few days, she came back with a short list of recommended homes to tour. The very first house she recommended was not even publicly available and thus invisible to the typical real estate apps. Sure enough, we fell in love with the house and a few days later decided to make an offer after viewing a few more homes just to be certain.
Sara again deftly handled the buying process for us, guiding us through offer negotiations, helping us to navigate financing options and ultimately saved us money while keeping her eye on winning us the house we desired.
I would recommend Sara without reservation for both first time buyers in Austin who don’t know where to begin, or experienced buyers looking to gain an edge in a competitive market.”
